Mission & Vision:
Aspen Valley Friendship Circle's Mission is to:
- Provide children with special needs with a full range of social recreational experiences.
- Provide their parents with respite and support.
- Enrich, inspire and motivate teen and adult volunteers through sharing of themselves with others.
Friendship Circle extends a helping hand to families who have children with special needs, involving them in a full range of social and recreational programs. Children, teens and young adults experience the gift of friendship with their specially-trained buddy and staff; parents enjoy the respite.
Our wide variety of programming focuses on abilities and building friendships through exciting and stimulating activities. The programs are designed to nurture participants' social, physical and cognitive skills and to enhance their community connection.
Friendship Circle facilitates inclusion and companionship to children and young adults with special needs by celebrating their individuality and provides support to their families. Community awareness is heightened by strengthening values of altruism, compassion and acceptance.
Our services are open to all families with children and teens with disabilities regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, faith, or income.
